Biography

From a young age womenswear designer Jo De Visscher had a passion for fashion, creating outfits for her beloved dolls.
Originally completing a degree in Art Restoration, De Visscher then went on to study fashion. After receiving rave reviews for her graduate collection in 2007, she decided to start her own self-named label ‘Jo De Visscher’.

Vision

Jo De Visscher has made it her trademark to design comfortable clothing in which women feel stylish and elegant. Wrap dresses are key to her collections, offering women a classic shape that is designed to be eternally flattering. The simple designs are lifted with subtle design details including covered buttons, ribbon and contrasting belts.

Inspiration

For her fourth collection "Dejeuner sur l'herbe" (Lunch on the Grass), De Visscher takes influence from the simplicity and freedom depicted in the world famous painting by the legendary artist Manet, in which a naked woman picnics on the grass with two male companions.
